RACE OF CHAMPIONS DART DIRT MODIFIED TOUR RACE NUMBER 3 THIS SUNDAY AT THE UTICA ROME SPEEDWAY

The tradition rich Victoria 200 takes place this Sunday at the Utica Rome Speedway in Vernon, NY, this race is the third in the 2010 Race of Champions Dart Dirt Modified Tour.
The 200 lap feature that is run in 100 lap segments pays a hefty $10,000 to win and also sees a nice $1,000 being paid just to take the Victoria 200 feature green flag.
The 2010 racing season for the Race of Champions Dart Dirt Modified Tour started the season out in March with two very successful shows at the Selinsgrove Speedway. Currently there is a three way tie for the point lead between three time and defending RoC Dart Dirt Champion Pat Ward, Matt Sheppard who is a guaranteed starter for the Victoria 200 by virtue of his win at Selinsgrove, and Oley, Pennsylvania driver Duane Howard.
Because this race takes place on Mothers Day Utica Rome management has pushed back the starting time from years prior, this was done so families can celebrate the special day with their mom and then have enough time to attend the races afterwards. As usual once the races start at Utica Rome they will be finished at an early hour so that everyone can get on the road and get home in time for work the next morning.
All gates are slated to open at Noon on Sunday May 9th with the heat race draw slated to close at 2:30 in the afternoon. Hot laps are scheduled to start at 3:15 with the first heat taking the green at four in the afternoon. A complete show of heats, consis, a B Main, and the 200 lap feature will take place at the Action Track of the East.
