BINGHAMTON, NY - For the third consecutive year Gene Cole of the Utica-Rome Speedway in Vernon, NY has stepped up to the plate in a big way for the Race of Champions Dart Dirt Modified Tour event at the Selinsgrove Speedway.
Once again this year Utica-Rome is giving away not one, but two $1,000 cash guaranteed starting spots to the two biggest races at Utica-Rome in 2010.
The guaranteed starting spot to the New Yorker 200 that takes place in September 2010 at Utica-Rome will go to the Friday March 19th race winner. With this sponsorship the 25 lap feature will end up paying a minimum of $3,200 to win if the race winner does attend this event.
The guaranteed starting spot to the Victoria 200 that takes place on Mother’s Day 2010 at Utica-Rome will go to the Saturday March 20th race winner. With this sponsorship the 50 lap feature will end paying a minimum of $5,000 to win if the race winner does attend this event.
"Once again this year I can’t say Thank You enough to Gene Cole of the Utica-Rome Speedway for his generous sponsorship," said Joe Kaminski, Jr. of Selinsgrove Speedway and JGK Motorsports.
"It takes a lot to hand out not one, but two $1,000 cash starting spots and I’m happy that the winners of these races the past two years have used the spots."
In other news for the RoC Icebreaker III Weekend there is a name change for the host hotel for the weekend. Just recently the Country Hearth Inn has been renamed to Comfort Inn. Donna Mitchell is still the manager and the racers rate remains the same that was originally agreed upon by hotel and race officials.
Once again for as little as $50 anyone can become an official sponsor of the RoC Icebreaker III Weekend at the Selinsgrove Speedway. For the third consecutive year Joe Kaminski, Jr. is handling the sponsorship efforts of this excellent weekend of racing.
