Big Weekend Ahead At Five Mile Point |

KIRKWOOD, NY - Next Friday and Saturday (October 24th and 25th) is the annual National Quarter Mile Dirt Track Championship Weekend at Five Mile Point Speedway.
On Friday the Sportsman will do battle in a 100 lap event paying $2,000 to the winner. Last years race was fantastic. This will also be the final event of the 2008 RoC Dart Dirt Sportsman trail. Also on Friday the Pure Stocks will compete in the final RoC Dart Dirt series event. The 40 lapper will pay $600 to win. The Lightning Cats will also be in competition on Friday.
Saturday will be a busy day with the annual Racer's Flea Market getting underway at 9 a.m. At 5 p.m. qualifying for the 39th running of the Southern Tier 100 will take place. The Modified race winner will earn $5,000. The IMCA Modified Empire State Series will be in action along with twin features for the 600 c.c. Modifieds.
