Heavy Rains Postpone Richie Evans Race At U-R |

VERNON, NY- The “Richie Evans Remembered” event scheduled for Wednesday July 23 at the Utica-Rome Speedway has been postponed due to heavy rain. The Race of Champions Dart Dirt Modified Series and Pro Stocks were on the schedule, with the Modifieds dueling for 61 laps for a $6,161.61 payday. The event has been pushed back to its rain date of Wednesday August 13. Gates will open at 5 p.m. with racing going off at 7 p.m.
This Sunday, July 27, the Race of Champions Dart Dirt Sportsman Series makes its final stop at the Utica-Rome Speedway, joining a regular show of 358-Modifieds, Pro Stocks, and Pure Stocks. Some of the best Sportsman drivers in the region will be on hand competing for the $1,000 payday on Parks Paving and Luther Excavating night. Gates will open at 3 p.m. with racing at 5:30 p. m.
